⚔️ Arenas

CONTROL WHAT THE MATCHMAKER CAN SEE

THE SIMPLE VERSION

Arenas look at dragon strength, not just your player level.

Leagues generally place you around accounts near your own player level. Arenas work differently: their strength-based matchmaking appears to weigh your strongest eligible dragons, especially their levels and empowerment, while the current Arena, trophies and restrictions can still affect the opponents you see.

FIELD-TESTED RESET

Temporarily hide the outlier.

This is the practical reset Lksav uses. It is a community observation, not a published explanation of matchmaking.

If one over-levelled dragon is making every Arena fight unreasonable, this method can encourage the game to rebuild your opponent pool around your next-highest eligible dragons.

Move the level 67 dragon into the Dragonarium.Keep it there while trying the reset; whether stored dragons affect matchmaking is not officially confirmed.
Fully restart Dragon City.Close and reopen the game so it refreshes the dragons available to matchmaking.
Fight one Arena battle without it.This gives the Arena a completed fight using your lower-strength eligible roster.
Check the next opponents.They may now be closer to the level of your next-highest dragons.

USE IT AS A RESET, NOT A GUARANTEE

Dragon City does not publish the complete matchmaking formula, and Arena seasons can change restrictions or boosts. Treat this as a field-tested reset rather than a guarantee: trophies, empowerment, perks and the current Arena may still produce tougher teams.

ONE EXTRA BATTLE PER ROUND

IF YOU CAN WIN EVERY FIGHT

Win one. Then reset the board.

Every League field has 8 opponents, while each battle refresh gives you 3 attacks. Win the first battle, press reset straight away, and your remaining 2 attacks carry onto a fresh field.

After that, the next two refreshes give you 3 attacks each. That is enough to clear all 8 opponents on the new field, and the first win you took before resetting becomes a free extra League battle for the chest.

USE IT WHEN YOU ARE STRONG ENOUGH

This only works properly when you can reliably beat every opponent on the fresh board. If the matchups are too hard, keep the safer board instead of forcing the reset.

🐣 Hatching

PREPARE BEFORE IT STARTS

THE RULE THAT MATTERS

Hatching time determines your points, not the dragon's rarity.

A longer egg timer earns more alliance chest points when the finished dragon is taken out of the hatchery. A rarer dragon is not automatically better.

BEST PRE-CHEST STRATEGY

Load all six slots. Then wait.

Check our schedule.Look ahead for the next Hatching chest instead of reacting after it begins.
Max your hatchery.Unlock all six available hatchery slots whenever possible.
Fill every slot early.Use six eggs with the longest hatch times available to you.
Leave completed eggs inside.Do not take the dragons out before the alliance chest begins.
Collect after the chest starts.Remove each finished dragon from the hatchery only once the chest is live. That is when the points are granted.

ONCE THE CHEST IS ALREADY LIVE

Keep all six slots working.

Primal is great for preparing early. Once the chest has started, these shorter Gold-shop eggs let you collect several batches instead of waiting 36 hours. Every calculation below assumes a fully upgraded six-slot hatchery.

DO NOT WASTE THE PRELOAD

Finishing an egg before the chest is fine. Taking the dragon out before the chest begins is not. Keep it inside the hatchery until the event is live.

Breeding time earns the points.

The chest counts the breed when you move the finished egg into your hatchery. Longer breeding timers normally mean more points. Rarity alone does not decide the reward.

Load every breeding building. Then leave it alone.

Use our chest schedule and start the longest useful breeds you can finish before the event. Once they are ready, leave the eggs waiting inside the breeding buildings. Move them only after the Breeding chest is live.

Keep hatchery space free.A finished breed cannot be collected into a full hatchery.

Make the Sanctuary do the heavy lifting.

Sanctuary exclusives have some of the longest breeding timers in the game. That makes the Sanctuary your best building for one big prepared score when the chest begins.

Millennium has an 89-hour base breeding timer. It is the longest verified Sanctuary-exclusive breed, so it is the dream preload when your Possible Results pool can produce it.

LKSAV'S SANCTUARY PICKPURE + FLAME

A strong mix of safe time and bigger rolls.

Pure + Flame can give Pure Flame at a verified 44 hours. In the Sanctuary, compatible result pools can also contain exclusive Epic outcomes around 58 hours. It gives you a useful long fallback with a chance of landing an even longer timer.

THE REAL BOTTLENECK

Do not let your hatchery stop the cycle.

A completed breed only becomes useful when there is room to move its egg. Keep at least one hatchery slot available, clear short eggs quickly, and avoid filling every slot with long timers during an active Breeding chest.

CHECK POSSIBLE RESULTS FIRST

Parent levels, empowerment, breeding perks and game updates can change the result pool. Open Possible Results in Dragon City before committing to a loop. If the target dragon is not shown there, that setup cannot produce it.
